RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH
gWORKS FOR THE "HR HUB" MODULE
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, City and gWorks staff have advised Council that in 2023 all gWorks modules will begin to be
upgraded from desktop software -based programs to cloud -based programs; and,
WHEREAS, the HR Hub module - the next module to be released to the cloud - will allow staff to
manage human resource functions online, such as integrated time sheets, management of time off
accruals and requests, payroll functionality, etc., ;and,
WHEREAS, the HR Hub provides each employee with an online dashboard for ease of access to human
resources information, timesheets, paystubs, W2's, etc.; and,
WHEREAS, the HR Hub automatically integrates payroll data into the general ledger, saving staff time
and resources; and,
WHEREAS, the one-time fees to implement the HR Hub total $1,000, and the annual recurring fees total
$1,380, for a grand up -front total due of $2,380; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this action is #001-650-6419 - City Hall Computer Expense.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA,
THAT:
Section 1.
The Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with gWorks for the HR Hub at a one-
time cost of $1,000, and annual recurring fees of $1,380, for a grand total of $2,380, due
up -front.
Section 2. Staff members are authorized to pay gWorks the total sum of $2,380 upon receipt of an
invoice.
