AN ORDINANCE A14ENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 designates
and describes as R-2 Single Family Residence District thp. Following described property
located at 4700 East Main Street, in the City of Richmond, Indiana, more particularly
described to -wit:
Being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35, Township 14 North,
Range 1 :lest in the City of Richmond, Indiana, and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a concrete right-of-way monument on the west right-of-way of the
Gravel Pit Road, said point being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the east line of the Southeast Quarter of
said Section 35 with the centerline of United States highway N+kmher 40, and
running thence north, along the east line of said Southeast Quarter, 293.28
feet; thence north 51 degrees and 51 minutes Kest 49.00 feet to the beginning
poing of this description, and running thence, from said beginning point,
north 51 degrees and 51 minutes west 388.00 feet; thence south 85 degrees
and 48 minutes west 840.88 feet; thence south 1 degree and 29 minutes west
137.40 feet to a point, said Point being 409.nO feet north 1 degree and 29
minutes east of the north right-of-way line of said United States Highway;
thence south 87 degrees and 58 minutes east 1148.02 feet to the place of
beginning, containing an area of 4.333 acres.
This is to certify that the above description and the attached plat were s
prepared this 26th day of April, 1972, from survey records, and is true
to the best of my knowledge and belief. John Beals, Registered Surveyor
No. 7955, State of Indiana.
SECTION 2. 140EAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classifi-
cation of the above described area from R-2 to C-2.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS it study of thts Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan
Commmission on the day of 1972, at which time remonstrances

SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was % to D

NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the raring Cll&ssification of the above described
property be, and the same is hereby changed td C-2 Community Business Distridt.and that
said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, and all axendments thereto.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and publication as by law required.
SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned areas is hereby
rescinded and the zoning classification of this area will be in accordance with Section
2 of this Ordinance.
