ORDINAN 1988-153 •
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
SECTION I. Pursuant to published notice, a public hearing has been
duly held, and the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa, hereby adopts the
revised ordinances as the 1988 Municipal Code.
SECTION II. An official copy of the Municipal Code, as adopted,
including certification by the Clerk as to its adoption and effective
date, is on file at the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION III. Copies of the Code shall be kept available at the
City Clerk's office for public 'inspection and sale at cost.
SECTION IV. All general ordinances or parts thereof passed prior
to August 10, 1988 not contained in the Tiffin' Code of ordinances are
hereby repealed except as hereafter provided, or special ordinances
named.
SECTION V. The following ordinances are specifically saved from
repeal:

SECTION VI. Effective Date. This ordinance shall ,be in, effect
after its final passage, approval and posting as provided by law.
Councilman Morgan introduced the foregoing ordinance which
was then duly read and considered by the Council. Its adoption was
moved by Councilman Stratton and seconded by Councilman
Stratton,
. On roll call vote Councilman Spivey , �tratton`
Morgan , Stoner, Eggers
voted "Aye". voted "Nay". Mayor
declared motion carried.
Councilman Morgan then moved that the rule or law requiring
three readings of this ordinance on three different dates be dispensed
with. Seconded by Councilman
Stratton . On roll call vote Councilman Spivey , Stratton,
Morgan , Stoner , Eggers voted "Aye. " Councilman
voted "Nay".
Councilman Eggers then moved for final adoption of this
ordinance, seconded by u_Cmunci1man Spivey . On roll call vote
Councilman Spivey , �rot�on ' Morgan , Stoner , Eggers
voted "Aye. "
Councilman voted "Nay. "
The Mayor then declared Ordinance No. 1988450 duly passed and
adopted on this 10th day of August, 1988. �-

The foregoing ordinance entitled AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA was published on the 15th da of
August, 1988 by posting copies thereof in three-public places within the
limits, two of which are the mayor's office anq the post office.
