ORDINAN 1988-156
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1979-83 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA BY CHANGING THE USE REGULATIONS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
FROM R-2 (DUPLEX) TO C-1 (COMMERCIAL)
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
SECTION I. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the
zoning map of the Zoning 'Ordinance No. 1979-83 of the Municipal Code of
Tiffin, Iowa, by changing the use classification of the real estate
described in Section II from R-2 (duplex) to C-1 (commercial)
SECTION II. Amendment. The parcel of land hereinafter described
shall be zoned as follows:
from R-2 (duplex) to C-i (commercial)
Lot 11, Sadler Subdivision, Tiffin, Iowa, according to the
recorded plat thereof.
SECTION III. Authorization. The Mayor. or other desginee of the
City Council is hereby authorized and directed to change the zoning map
of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, which was duly recorded in Book 19, page
53, Records of Johnson County, Iowa, to conform to this amendment, upon
the final passage, approval and publication of the ordinance as provided
by law.
SECTION IV. Certification. The City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to certify a copy of thie ordinance to the Recorder of
Johnson County, Iowa, upon final passage, approval and publication as
provided by law.
SECTION V. Repealer. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION VI. Severability. If any section, provision or part of
this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such
adjudication shall not affect the ordinance as a whole, or any section,
provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

SECTION VI. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect
after its final passage, approval and posting as provided by law.

Councilman Morgan introduced the foregoing ordinance which
was then duly read and considered by the Council. Its adoption was
moved by Councilman Morgan and seconded by Councilman
Stratton On roll call vote Councilman Eggers , Morgan ,
Spivey , Stoner , Stratton
voted "Aye". voted "Nay". Mayor
declared motion carried.
Councilman Stratton then moved that the rule or law requiring
three readings of this ordinance on three different dates be dispensed
with. Seconded by Councilman
Morgan On roll call vote Councilman Eggers , Morgan ,
Spivey , Stoner , Stratton voted "Aye. " Councilman
voted, "Nay".
Councilman Eggers then moved for final adoption of this
ordinance, seconded by Councilman Spivey On roll call vote
Councilman Eggers , Morgan , Spivey , Stoner , -Stratton
voted "Aye. "
Councilman voted "Nay. "
The Mayor then declared Ordinance No. 1988-156 duly passed and
adopted on this 9th day, of November, 1988.

The foregoing ordinance entitled AN ORDINANCE AMEDNING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE NO. 1979-83 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA BY CHANGING
THE USE REGULATING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM FROM R-2 (DUPLEX) TO C-1
(COMMERCIAL)_ was published on the :.�17„t'l -day of November, 1988 by posting
copies thereof in three public places within the limits, two of which
are the mayor's office and the post office.
