“Keep Leesburg Beautiful” Annual Community Clean Up and
Beautification Campaign Begins April 1st
Leesburg, VA (March 10, 2015) – The Town
of Leesburg’s 11th annual “Keep Leesburg
Beautiful” community clean-up and
beautification campaign will begin on April
1, 2015, and will run the entire month of
April.
“Keep Leesburg Beautiful is a great
program that allows individuals and groups
to help beautify the Town by picking up the
litter that has collected all year,” said Vice Mayor Kelly Burk. “I hope everyone in the town will
participate and join in keeping Leesburg beautiful.”
Residents, neighborhood and community groups, and businesses are encouraged to participate
in Keep Leesburg Beautiful by forming teams to collect litter, clean up stream areas, replant
landscaped areas along the Town’s rights-of-way or participate in other clean-up and
beautification projects. These activities can occur at any time during the month of April.
Groups and individuals interested in participating should visit the Town of Leesburg website at
www.leesburgva.gov/KLB for details about how to volunteer and suggestions for litter
collection, stream clean-up and other project locations. The Town of Leesburg will provide
safety vests, gloves and trash bags for litter collection projects.
