AI■J ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE^NO. 1979-83 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA BY CHANGING THE USE REGULATIONS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
FROM R-1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL). TO C-1 (COMMERCIAL)
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
SECTION I. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the
present City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 1979-83 by changing the use
classification of the real estate described in Sect'ion II from R-1
(single-family residential) to C-1 (commerical).
SECTION -II. Amendment. The parcels of land hereinafter detcribed
shall be zoned as follows:

from R-i (single-family residential) to C-1 (commercial)
1330 square feet along the north side of lot no. 3 of the Sadler
Subdivision according to the recorded plat thereof
and
•
70 square feet in the northwest corner of lot no. 4 of the • Sadler
Subdivision according to the recorded plat thereof.
SECTION III. Authorization. The Mayor or other des~inee of the
City Council is hereby authorized and directed to change the zoning map
of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, which was duly recorded in Book 19, page
53, of the Records of Johnson County, Iowa, to conform to this
amendment, upon the final passage, approval and publication of the
ordinance as provided, by law.,

SECTION IV. Certificatin. The City Clerk is herdby authorized and
directed, to certify a copy of this ordinance to the Recorder of Johnson
County, Iowa, upon final passage, approval and publication as provided
by law.
SECTION V. Repealer. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

SECTION VI. Severability. If any section, provision or part of
this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such
adjudication shall not affect the ordinance as a whole, or any section,
provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION VI. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect
after its final passage, approval and posting as provided by law.
Councilman Morgan introduced the foregoing ordinance which
was then duly read and considered by the Council. Its adoption was
moved by Councilman Stratton and seconded by Councilman
Spivey . On roll call vote Councilman Eggers , Morgan,
Spivey , Stratton , Stoner
voted "Aye". voted "Nay". Mayor
declared motion carried.
Councilman Stratton then moved that the rule or law requiring
three readings of this ordinance on three different dates be dispensed
with. Seconded by Councilman
Spivey , On roll call vote Councilman Eggers , Morgan , Stoner ,
Stratton , Spivey voted "Aye. " Councilman
voted "Nay".
Councilman Stoner then moved for final adoption of this
ordinance, seconded by Councilman Eggers . On roll call vote
Councilman Eggers , Morgan , Spivey , Stratton , Stoner
voted "Aye. "
Councilman voted "Nay. "
The ,Mayor then declared- Ordinance No. 1989-157 duly passed and
adopted on.this 8th day of February, 1989.

The foregoing ordinance entitled ^AN ORDINANCE AMEDNING THE ZONING

ORDINANCE NO. 1679-83 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA BY CHANGING
THE USE REGULATINS OF CERTAIN' PROPERTY FROM FROM R-1 (SINGELFAMILY
RESIDENTIAL) ) TO C-1 (COMMERCIAL) was published on the 15th day of
February, 1989 by posting copies thereof in three publio places within
the limits,|^ two of which are the mayor's -office and the post office.
