ORDINANCE 1989-158
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1979-83 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF TIFFIN, 'IOWA BY REPEALING SECTION 15 OF THE ORDINANCE AND
.ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF SECTION 15 AS OUTLINED BELOW PROVIDING A NEW
M-1 INDUSTRIAL ZONE USE CLASSIFICATION
BE IT ENACTED BY' THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
SECTION I. Purpose. The purpose of this Ordinance is to amend the
present City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 1979-63 by repealing Section 15 of
the Ordinance and enacting in lieu thereof Section 15 of the Ordinance
creating a new M-1 Industrial use classification.
SECTION II. Repeal. Section 15 of Ordinance No. 1979-83 is hereby
repealed.
SECTION III. Enaction. The fbllowing Section 15 is hereby enacted
as part of Ordinance No 1979-83: ^ �
Section 15: M-1 Industrial Zone Uses. M-1 Industrial Zones
use rates shall be as follows:
1. ThOse uses as outlined under C-1 Commercial
2. Automotive repair shops including both mechanical and autobody
repair
3. Electrical sub-station.
4. Road maintenance storage facilities
SECTION IV. Repealer. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION V. Severability. If any section, provision or part of
this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such
adjudication shall not affect the ordinance as 'a whole, or any section;
provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION VI. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect
after its final passage, approval and posting as provided by law.
Councilman Morgan introduced the foregoing ordinance which
was then duly read and considered by the touncil. Its adoption was
moved by Councilman Stratton and seconded by Councilman Stoner .
On roll call vote Councilman Eggers , Morgan, Spivey , Stoner , Stratton,

Councilman voted "Nay". Mayor declared motion
carried.

Councilman Eggers then moved that the rule or law requiring
three readings of this ordinance on three different dates be dispensed
with. Seconded by Councilman Morgan . On roll call vote

voted "Aye. "
Councilman voted "Nay".
Councilman Stratton then moved for final adoption of this
ordinance, seconded by Councilman Eggers .' On roll call vote
Councilman Eggers , Morgan . Spivey , Stoner , Stratton
voted "Aye. "
Councilman voted "Nay. "
The Mayor then declared Ordinance No. 1989-158 duly passed and
adopted on this 14th day of June, 1989.

was published on the 19th day of June, 1989 by posting copies thereof in
three public places within the limits, two of which are the mayor's
office and the post office.
