A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF
ELM AVENUE BETWEEN ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD AND SULTANA
AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City did,
on the 20th day of April, 1982, pass its Resolution No.
82 -2066 declaring its intention to vacate a portion of Elm Avenue
running between Rosemead Boulevard and Sultana Avenue, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a notice duly published and posted in
the manner presented by law, a public hearing was held by the
City Council on the 18th day of May, 1982, at the hour of
7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, wherein all
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation were
heard, and
WHEREAS, as the Planning Commission reviewed the proposed
vacation on the 13th day of April, 1982, and found the vacation
consistent with the General Plan and any specific plans of the
area, and
WHEREAS, the following utilities have indicated they have
existing facilities or proposed facilities within the area to
be vacated and desire an easement to protect their rights to
maintain the facilities:
1. Southern California Gas Company
2. Southern California Edison Company
3. City of Temple City
4. Pacific Telephone Company
5. Sunny Slope Water Company
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple
City does find, resolve, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds from all evidence
submitted that a portion of Elm Avenue between Rosemead Boulevard
and Sultana Avenue within the City of Temple City, herein des-
cribed is unnnecessary for present or prospective street purposes.
SECTION 2. It is ordered that a portion of Elm Avenue
within the City of Temple City is hereby vacated:
a. The description of the area which the City Council
does hereby order to be vacated is as shown and
described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
b. Reserving to the City of Temple City:
1) an easement for Public Utilities and
drainage purposes over said parcel; and
2) an area for the cul -de -sac of Myda Avenue.
c. Reserving to the following utilities the right to
maintain existing and proposed facilities within
said parcel.
1) Pacific Telephone Company
2) Southern California Edison Company
3) Southern California Gas Company
4) City of Temple City
5) Sunny Slope Water. Company

SECTION 3. The City Clerk is ordered to make a certified
copy of this Resolution, attested under seal of the City, to be
recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of
Los Angeles.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Temple City this 18th day of May, 1982.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
