I went back to the site at 12:04pm and looked in and under the building. All the sinks and toilets in the building are the
same other than cleaning them up. Looks like a toilet seat has been replaced. Equipment in the kitchen area is being
cleaned and reinstalled. The bar area looks like the same things that were there. Looking under the building there is
some new PVC pipe replaced likely when the floor was repaired and reconnected to floor drains. And the grease trap
looks as if has been reconnected as required. We can have Ray look at these. I see no total replacement or anything that
appears to have been added new. You can see where old pipe had been cut and replaced as needed to work on the
floor. New paint, carpet and a lot of cleaning.

John Major: "There were a couple of guys working there when I looked at the property. Are
they working for you or are they ... ?"
Paul Jackson: "A couple different contractors. There are guys that were doing the floor in the
kitchen — it was totally rotten, so we had to tear out the entire floor, and replace the floor. And
then we have had some plumbers tighting up some of the things inside. And painters and things
like that. Just contractors. And I do have one or two guys that help me occasionally just doing
some of the — the parking lot, cleaning up the parking lot, we had to repair the fence out front."
Chuck:
Building permit 08 -0027 was pulled on 01/17/08 for 1311 Butler Avenue. The cost of
construction was listed as $1, 000 for "repairing rotten floor in kitchen; repairing rotten fence in
front." The permit fee was $25. There wasn't any plumbing on it. This is a commercial site. Does
the original permit need to be upgraded? Does the work need to be inspected?
Thanks,
Dianne Otto
