Minutes of the regular meeting of August 7,1962 were read. Motion by Gertz to adopt minutes as read, second by Arens, motion carried. Mr. Vick appeared ;with a request for a permit to live in a trailer on the Elwell farm for a period of 2 or 3 years. He was informed that a permit could be issued for only 3 months and renewed once for the same amaat* term. He said he would not be interested in this. Clerk will find out how many copies of minnesota Statues are required and purchase same. Mr. Santee appeared with a request to build a 40 x 50 ft building with 2 apts upstairs and supperette downstairs, on a lot S 130 x 165 feet. Motion by Herb Arens to refer this to the planning commission for recommendations, second by Arthur Gertz, motion carried. Bids for equipment rental were opened and read as follows; Fashant Bros, annandale, Minnesota 10 Cubic yard scrapper @ 15.00 per hour Dozer 8 12.00 per hour Start September 12 f complete in 30 days, cubic yard scrappers. Jerome Begin, Mpls Minn. 15 yard motor scrapper 15.00 per Dozer 20.00 per Statt Sept 15, Corron Construction Co. 15 cu yard scrapper Dozer 5 Yard truck 5.00 per hour Front end leader 10.00 per Our furnish 3 cats all 150 HP D8, 15 /0 18 hour 10 yd truck 10.00 per;hour hour 3 yd front leader 20.00 per hour Buffalo, Minnesota 14.50 per hour 14.50 per hour 10 yd truck Front Loader 9.00 per hour 12.00 per hour Start September 10, complete Oct 10. Motion by Herb Arens to accept Fashant bid , second by Arthur Gertz, motion carried. Peterson from Hennepin County Highway Department appeared with plans for improving County Road # 19 from Lake Independence to # 11. Archie Carter, engineer has looked over the plans and reports little change in the grade live. Motion by Herb Arens to accept resolution approving road plans, second by Roehf, motion carried Fire Arms Ordinance read by Mayor Scott, Motion by Herb Arens to adopt ordinance Regulating Discharge of Firearms, Second by Harold Winterhalter, motion carried. Motion by Rober Roehl to accept Feser First Addition, seoond by Herb Arens, Motion carried. Payroll checks issued 1767.90 Order Checks issued 3100.88 Reciepts 16358.44.
