HomeMy Public PortalAbout95-161 (10-17-95)NO. 95 -161 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, FOR THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1995, CALLED BY RESOLUTION NO. 95 -149 OF THE CITY COUNCIL" WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, December 19, 1995; has been called by Resolution No. 95 -149, adopted on September 19, 1995; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding the special Municipal Election, there is established 8 voting precincts consisting of the regular election precincts in the City of Lynwood established for the holding of state and county elections, as the regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places designated. Voting Precinct 1. Polling Place: Lincoln Elementary School 11031 State Street Consolidated Established Precincts: 399 -0003A 399 -0005A Voting Precinct 2. Polling Place: City of Lynwood Public Works 11750 Alameda Street Consolidated Established Precincts: 399 -0024A 399 -0024D ' Voting Precinct 3, Polling Place: Washington Elementary School 4225 Sanborn Avenue Consolidated Established Precincts: 399 -0006B 399 -0016A Voting Precinct 4. Polling Place: Hosler Junior High School 11300 Spruce Street Consolidated Established Precincts: 399 -0018A 399 -0044A Voting Precinct 5. Polling Place: Frank Ramirez and Company 11935 Long Beach Boulevard Consolidated Established Precincts 399 -0024E 399 -0030B Voting Precinct 6. Polling Place: will Rogers Elementary School 11220 Duncan Avenue Consolidated Established Precincts 399 -0019A 399 -0061A Voting Precinct 7. Polling Place: Mark Twain Elementary School 12315 Thorson Avenue Consolidated Established Precincts 399 -0031A 399 -0033A 399 -0062C 399 -0064B 399 -0064C Voting Precinct 8. Polling Place: Abbott Elementary School 5260 Clark Street Consolidated Established Precincts: 399 -0061B 399 -0062A 399 -0062D 399 -0064A SECTION 2. The rental for each polling place, where a charge is made shall be the sum of twenty -five dollars for the ti election. when required, the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall be twelve dollars for the election. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
