A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING
THE RECLASSIFICATION OF THE CURRENT PROJECT MANAGER
ASSIGNED TO THE CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE TO THE POSITION OF
MEDIA SERVICES DIRECTOR IN LINE WITH THE
FORMATION OF A MEDIA SERVICES DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Personnel Rules and Regulations, Rule IV,
Section 4 Reclassification, provide for an employee to be
allocated to a more appropriate class when the duties of which have
changed materially so as to necessitate reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified the need to
reclassify the current Project Manager incumbent assigned to the
City Manager's office to the appropriate class of Media Services
Director in line with the formation of a Media Services Department;
and
WHEREAS, certain necessary and vital daily functions will
be carried out on behalf of the City Manager and City Council as a
result in making this change; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to make
this change.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does find and resolve as follows:
Section 1. Reclassify Project Manager incumbent to the
position of Media Services Director as provided in Personnel Rules
and Regulations, Rule IV, Section 4.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
