A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF A NEW PUMPING SYSTEM FOR THE CITY'S
NATATORIUM
WHEREAS, the City's Natatorium pumping system is damaged beyond
repair and its replacement is needed to put the facility back in operation; and
WHEREAS, a new pumping system can be installed more economically
and expeditiously if the required equipment were purchased through an informal bid
process; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6 -3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code,
Council can authorize purchases through informal bids by a 4/5 vote; and
WHEREAS, the cost of replacing the City's Natatorium pumping system
which is estimated at $18,000 is not included in the maintenance and operation budget of
the Building Maintenance Division.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That staff is authorized to purchase a new pumping system
for the City's Natatorium through an informal bid procedure.
Section 2. That the Council approves apprpriation of $18,000 from the
uncommitted General Fund to the Building Maintenance Division budget as follows:

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
