HomeMy Public PortalAbout2742-1972 - Transfer - Board of Works - From several line items to City Bus ServiceORDINANCE NO. 2742-1972 AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE BOARD OF WORKS BUDGET THE SUM OF TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000.00) FROM J-20 TREE & STUMP REMOVAL (2-26-266) "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" ($1,873.00), J-21 WEED CONTROL (2-26-263) "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" ($700.00), J-33 HOSPITAL INSURANCE (5-51A) "CURRENT CHARGES" ($9,000.00), J-34 RE ITS & t:ENTAL OF EQUIPMENT (5-52) "CURRENT CHARGES" ($1,553.00), J-47 LAND (7-73) "PROPERTIES" ($60000.00), AND FROM J-43 PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT FUND (6-64) "CURRENT OBLIGATIONS" ($874.00) TO J.$3 CITY BUS SERVICE (2-26-266) "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL". WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for various functions of the City Government than °.%,as appropriated to the annual budget. SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1972, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and sit apart out of the funds named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated the following amount to meet the extraordinary emergency that exists: AMOUNL REQUESTED J-23 CITY BUS SERVICE (2-26-266) "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" $ 20,000.00 SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be used for purpose which appropriated. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriation be now reduced in amount as follows: J-20 TREE & STUMP REMOVAL (2-26-266) "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" J-21 WEED CONTROL (2-26-2631, "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" J-33 HOSPITAL INSURANCE (5-51A) "CURRENT CHARGES" J-34 RENTS & RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT (5-52) "CURRENT CHARGES" J-47 LAND (7-73) "PROPERTIES" J-43 PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT FUND (6-64) "CURRENT OBLIGATIONS" RE UFSTED REDUCTION 1,873.00 70n.00 9,000.00 1,553.00 6,000.00 874.00 $ 20,000.00 SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indi«r.a, govern- ing emergency appropriations.
