ORDINANCE No. 2752-1972
AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, CERTAIN TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS
THERETO, DESCRIBING THE SAME, PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION THEREOF, AND FIXING THE
TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory be annexed to and declared to be
a part of said City of Richmond, Indiana, to -wit:
TRACT I:
Being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 9, Township 13,
Range 1 Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana, and more particular-
ly described as follows:
A strip of land 150 feet of equal width and lying east of the
following described line: Beginning at a point in the North
line of South 'IT" Street and the west line of said Quarter
Section; thence South to the Southwest Corner of said Quarter
Section, an area containing 5.23 Acres more or less.
TRACT II:
Being a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Township
14 North, Range 1 West, Wayne County, Indiana, and more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point at the intersection of the north right-
of-way line of Woodside Drive and the west right-of-way line
of Hayes Arboretum Road, said point being in the City Corpor-
ation line as described in Ordinance No. 1951-1962, thence
southwestwardly along the north right-of-way line of Woodside
Drive to the north right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 40 and
the present City Corporation line as described in the said
Ordinance No. 1951-1962, thence East along said right-of-way
line and present City Corporation line as described in said
Ordinance to the west right-of-way line of Hayes Arboretum
Road; thence north along said west right-of-way line of Hayes
Arboretum Road and the present City Corporation line as described
in said Ordinance No. 1951-1962, to the point of beginning,
an area containing 9.7 acres more or less.
TRACT III:
Being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35.,., .y

14, Range 1 West, Wayne County, Indiana, and more particularly
described as follows: -
Beginning at a point in the north right-of-way`Jine of Woodside
Drive and the present City Corporation line, said point being
495 feet east of the west line of said Quarter Section as described
in Ordinance No. 1951-1962; thence South O026' West 617.04 feet
along the present City Corporation line as described in Ordinance
No. 1973-1963, to an iron pipe; thence North 70011' East
307.76 feet to an iron pipe; thence South O022' West to a point
372.50 feet and North 00221 East of the centerline of U.S. Highway
40; thence east 270 feet to the west line of Sycamore Drive;
thence northeastwardly along the west line of Sycamore Drive to
a point 616.8 feet north of the centerline of U.S. Highway 40; thence
east 345 feet to a point; thence north along the present City
Corporation line as described in Ordinance No. 1973-1963 to the
north right-of-way line of Woodside Drive; thence southwestwardly
along the north right-of-way line of Woodside Drive to the point
of beginning of this description, an area containing 14.7 acres
more or less.

TRACT IV:
Being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 13 North,
Range 1 West, Wayne County, Indiana, and more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of the said Southeast Quarter and
the place of beginning of this description; thence north Oo 00, 01"
East 167.95 feet along the west line of said -Southeast quarter to
a point; thence south 89° 49124" east 199.99 feet to a point; thence
south 0*00101" West 167.95 feet to a --point in the south tine of said
Southeast r1hiarter;-thence north 89' 48105" iaest--along-the sonth--line of said
southeast quarter 200 feet more or less to the point of beginning,
an area containg .77 acres more or less.
SECTION 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval by the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
and publication as by law required.
