A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE RECONSTRUCTION
OF THE BUS STOP AREA PAVEMENT LOCATED AT THE
INTERSECTION OF IMPERIAL HIGHWAY AND BULLIS
ROAD THROUGH INFORMAL BIDS, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE
NECESSARY FUND APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFERS
' WHEREAS, the bus stop area pavement located on the north
side of Imperial Highway at Bullis Road is badly deteriorated and is
in need of reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, this deteriorated condition poses a safety hazard
to motorists and pedestrians; and
WHEREAS, the reconstruction of this bus stop area pavement
can be done more expeditiously and economically through informal bids;
and
WHEREAS, under Section 6 -3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize the use of informal bids by a 4/5 vote;
and
WHEREAS, reconstruction of the bus stop area pavement is
estimated to cost $15,000; and
WHEREAS, this work was not anticipated in the City's
FY 1995 -96 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order, and resolve as follows:
' Section 1 . That the City Council approves the
reconstruction of the bus stop area pavement located on Imperial
Highway at Bullis Road through an informal bid procedure.
Section 2 . That the City Manager or his designee
is authorized to make the following fund appropriation and transfers:

Section 3 . This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
