A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE REAPPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO
COVER OUTSTANDING CDBG ENCUMBRANCES AND OBLIGATIONS
REMAINING AT FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1995
WHEREAS, the CDBG Budget included appropriations to St. Francis Child
Abuse Program and Community Youth Gang Services. Purchase orders were issued to
subrecipients to encumber funds for public services, however all invoices were not
received prior to year ending June 30, 1995 which has resulted in carryover of cost into
the current fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, funding was appropriated during fiscal year 1994 -95 to cover
incurred cost for providing services, and
WHEREAS, Fiscal year 1995 -96 Annual Operating Budget does not include
appropriations for outstanding obligations, therefore the balance of these encumbrances
' require reappropriations; and
WHEREAS, the reappropriation of funds is a standard procedure in governmental
accounting and is in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby find, order and proclaim as
follows:
Section 1 . That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make the
following appropriations:

A. 28- 4669 -4288 St. Francis Child Abuse Program $1,378.00
B. 28- 4669 -4296 Community Youth Gang Services 10,492.36
Section 2 . This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
