A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE
FORMATION OF UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO.10
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood Ordinance No. 848
establishes a procedure for the creation of Underground Utility
Districts; and
' WHEREAS, a public hearing is required to ascertain
whether public necessity, health, safety, or welfare requires the
removal of poles, overhead wires and facilities for supplying
electric, communication, or similar or associated service in any
such district; and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that such an
Underground Utility District N0.10, herein after called District,
be formed on Atlantic Avenue between the center line of Abbott
Road and the center line of Imperial Highway; on the southerly
half of Abbott Road between the westerly line of Atlantic avenue
and a line 74 feet east and parallel to the westerly line of Lot
1 of Downey & Hellman Tract; on Pendleton Avenue between the
westerly line of Atlantic Avenue and the projected westerly line
of Lot 1 of Downey & Hellman Tract, except the northerly half of
Pendelton Avenue of 74 feet east of said projected line; on
Imperial Highway between the westerly line of Atlantic Avenue and
the projected westerly line of Lot 15 of Downey & Hellman Tract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood as follows:
Section 1. Notice is given hereby that a public hearing
will be held by the City of Lynwood on February 20, 1996, at the
' hour of 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall,
11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California, for the District
hereinabove described.
Section 2. At such hearing, all persons interested
shall be given an opportunity to be heard. Said hearing may be
continued from time to time as may be determined by the City
Council.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall notify all affected
Property owners as shown on the last equalized assessment roll
and utilities concerned of the time and place of such hearing by
mailing a copy of this resolution to such property owners and
utilities concerned at least ten (10) days prior to the date
thereof.
Section 4. The area proposed to be included in the
District is shown upon that certain map entitled "Proposed
Underground Utility District No. 10 ", which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
