A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICE
CONTRACTS FOR INDEPENDENT STUDIES RELATING TO
THE CITY TREASURER AND GRANT CONTROL SYSTEM
AND AUTHORIZING AN APPROPRIATION OF $10,080 TO
COVER COST OF SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City Treasurer is responsible for the City's cash flow and
investment of public funds; and
WHEREAS, the State Legislature recently passed two laws relating to the
investment of public funds; and
and WHEREAS, the enactments will require an evaluation of the current system;
and WHEREAS, the City currently has a decentralized grant reporting system;
WHEREAS, assistance is needed in evaluating the grant control system and
making recommendations for improvements; and
WHEREAS, Simpson & Simpson will provide independent studies and
make recommendations at a cost of $10,080; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation is needed to cover service costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council authorizes and approves the
service contracts for independent studies.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to
make the following appropriations:
