RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROPRIATING SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
GENERAL FUND BALANCE TO BE USED TO PROVIDE A CITY OF LYNWOOD
TEAM IN THE FIVE CITY OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been invited to participate
in the Five City Olympic Torch Relay Program in celebration of the
1996 Summer Olympic Games to be held in Atlanta, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, 'the relay will begin at Leuzinger High School and
finish at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum; .and
WHEREAS, the relay is set for Saturday, April 27, 1996; and
WHEREAS, teams are to be made up of either twelve (12) or
twenty four (24) participants; and
WHEREAS, the cost per participant (individual team member) is
two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00); and
WHEREAS, individual participants along with the City of
Lynwood Recreation & Community Services Department will' solicit
sponsors to cover the participant entry fees; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Lynwood approved this
program in concept at their regularly scheduled meeting of December
19, 1995. "
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby
authorizes the City Manager or his designee to implement all
financial transactions as approved in this resolution.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby
authorizes the following budget transfer:

$6,000.00 $6,000.00
