A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE SOLICI'T'ATION OF VENDORS
THROUGH THE INFORMAL BID PROCESS FOR THE
1996 UNITY FESTIVAL

WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is desirous of offering a program
combining the Unity Festival and the July 4th Fireworks
Celebration; and
WHEREAS, in 1994 only two (2) vendors responded to the formal
bid offering for the provision of the fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, in 1995 the City Council of the City of Lynwood
authorized the informal bid process for the fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of these services would be more
economically and efficiently effected through the use of the
informal bid process; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by a 4/5 vote can approve funding
through an alternative bid process;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council waives the formal bid
procedure for the provision of the 1996 Fireworks Display for the
Unity Festival /July 4th Program.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 19TH DAY , 96.
