AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1979-85, OF THE TIFFIN
.MUNICIPAL CODE, AN ORDINANCE .,. FOR LICENSING AND REGULATING
PEDDLERS IN .THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA, BY ADDING SECTION XIV.
BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa:

Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to add a
section to Ordinance No. 1979=85 to provide !for a penalty for
violation of the ordinance and setting of a fine.
Section 2. There is hereby enacted a Section XIV of Ordinance
No. 1979-85 of the Tiffin Municipal Code which shall read as
'follows :
SECTION XIV. Penalty. Anyone violating
any:° of the provisions of this ordinance shall -
upon conviction be subject to a fine not
exceeding $100. 00 ,. (One Hundred , Dollars)
or 30 (Thirty) days in jail or both) for any
violation. I
,_ Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict. with, the provisions of this Ordinancelare
hereby repealed.

Section. 4. Severability. If any section, provision, or part of
this Ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or uncon-
stitutional , such adjudication shall not affect the validity of
the ordinance as a whole, or, any section, provision, or part
thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional .
Section 5 .. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be In .
effect after its final passage, •approval ; and posting as provided
by law.
On the 12.'±' -�^-day of 1"ebYvary , 1992, at a regular
meeting of the Tiffin -City Council , Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson

that it be given its first reading. The motion was seconded by
Councilperson Mvr ny,

"Aye" , Mayor Glenn R.Potter declared Motion carried, and
Ordinance No. taco-114 was read the first time and discussed and
placed on record.

Thereupon; it was moved by Councilperson Snli40 I
and seconded by Councilperson Bar-ries I
that the laws and rules providing that ordinances be considered
and voted on for passage at two council meetings prior to the
meeting at which it is to be finally passed Ebe suspended and
dispensed with and that Ordinance No. 9.2-174t beFplaced on its last
reading.

Five members of the council being present and having voted
"Aye" , Mayor Glenn R. Potter thereupon declared the motion to be
carried, and Ordinance No. lob-N was then placed upon its last
reading and was read the last time.
Thereupon, it was moved by Councilperson me
and seconded by Councilperson (00nDicoi ;§ 1
that Ordinance No. I49a-)74 be placedmdpon its final passage and
adopted.

Ordinance passed and adopted.

thereto.
