A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$13,000 TO JUBANY ARCHITECT FOR CONSTRUCTION
ADMINISTRATION OF THE LYNWOOD YOUTH CENTER
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the construction of the new Youth Center facility has been
included in the City's Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, on May 21, 1996, the City Council per Resolution No. 96 -70
awarded a contract to Old Hickory Construction Company Inc., for construction of the
Lynwood Youth Center Project; and
WHEREAS, the necessary funding for construction of the new Lynwood
Youth Center, in the amount of $640,200 has been made available through the Los
Angeles County Park and Open Space District Competitive Grant program; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to acquire professional services for
construction administration of the Lynwood Youth Center; and
WHEREAS, Jubany Architecture, the Lynwood Youth Center Project
consultant, has proposed to provide construction administration services for a fee of
$13,000; and
WHEREAS, Jubany Architecture is qualified to provide the required
construction administration services.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council award a contract in the amount of $13,000
to Jubany Architecture for construction administration of the Lynwood Youth Center
Project.
Section 2 That the City Council authorize the Mayor to execute a
contract between the City of Lynwood and Jubany Architecture.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
