A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO INITIATE THE
CONSULTANT SELECTION PROCESS FOR FUNDING
IDENTIFICATION AND PROCUREMENT, PROPERTY
APPRAISAL AND ACQUISITION AND ARCHITECTURAL
DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE LOS AMIGOS PARK
EXPANSION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Los Amigos Park is located on E1 Segundo
I Boulevard between Peach Street and Alpine Avenue; and
WHEREAS, due to lack of contiguous city owned
properties, Los Amigos Park is separated by private properties;
and
WHEREAS, the park layout can be made more efficient and
thus more beneficial to the community by being expanded into one
contiguous area; and
WHEREAS, since the current budget does not provide
funds to implement this project, funding needs to be identified
and procured; and
WHEREAS, the interfering properties need to be
appraised and acquired; and
WHEREAS, professional services are needed for the
architectural design of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The City Council authorizes staff to
initiate the consultant selection process for funding
identification and procurement, property appraisal and
acquisition, and architectural services for the Los Amigos Park
Expansion Project.
Section 2 . This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
