The Council of the Village of Medina met in regular session Tuesday evening,
September 5, 1967 at 7:30 P. M.

All members present.
The minutes of the regular meeting of August 1, 1967 read. Moved by Arthur
Theis that the minutes be approved as read.
Seconded by p'arold Winterhalter.
Motion carried.
The minutes of the special meeting of August 30, 1967 read. Moved by
Raymond Bosch that the minutes be approved as read.
Seconded by Harold Winterhalter.
Motion carried.
The minutes of the:Planning Commission meeting of August 21, 1967 read.
Applications for Sunday ltkuor licenses considered. Moved by Harold Winter -
halter that we grant Joseph A. Raskob of Medina Recreations, Inc. an On -sale
Sunday liquor license.
Seconded by Raymond Bosch.
Motion carried.
Moved by Harold Winterhalter that we grant Beverly Pettit an On -sale Sunday
liquor license.
Seconded by Arthur Theis.
Motion carried.
Moved by Rayburn Anderson to set the date of Spptember 13, 1967 at 7:30 P. M.
as the time for the Budget meeting.
Seconded by Arthur Theis.
Motion carried.
Discussed contract with the Minneapolis Gas Company for the Hamel area. Moved
by Raymond Bosch to authorize the Minneapolis Gas Company to place the gas
main as described in #5203-1967.
Seconded by Arthur Theis.
Motion carried.
Letter from the Hamel Volunteer Fire Department was read with -regard to
burning permits. The Clerk was instructed to write the Loretto, Maple
Plain and Long Lake Fire Departments to get their opinions with regard
to this matter.
Letter from the Suburban. Public He lth Nursing Service read, advising that
the per capita rate has been increased to 2910;
Mrs. William Reiser together with some members of her family and also Frank
Schneider appeared with regard to Dusty Lane road. Question whether or not
it is a dedicated road. Mrs. Reiser returned later with registered plat
which showed it was a dedicated road.

Announcement of the Hennepin County League of Municipalities meeting to
be held at 8:00 P. M. Thursday, September 7, 1967 atGolden Valley Village
Hall.
Moved by Harold Winterhalter that the Village Attorney be authorized to
start condemnation proceedings and removal of debris on Lakeview Hall.
Seconded by Rayburn Anderson.
Motion carried.
Complaint about a semi -trailer in Beach area. Moved by Raymond Bosch to
authorize the Village Clerk to contact the Village Attorney to write a
letter to Mr. Robert Higgins, Route 1, Maple Plain, asking for the removal
of his semi -trailer as it is in violation of the zoning ordinance.
Seconded by Harold Winterhalter.
Motion carried.
Harold Winterhalter reported the Northwest Chamber of Commerce wanted a
progress report on the sewer project for the Hamel area. The Council advised
Harold to contact Mr. Mills to come to the next meeting.
Moved by Arthur Theis to pay the bills as follows: payroll in the amount
of 2417.87 and order checks in the amount of.6329.97.
Seconded by Harold Winterhalter.
Motion carried.
