A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE ENGAGEMENT OF THE
LAW OFFICE OF FENTON & FENTON TO REPRESENT
THE CITY IN RECOVERY OF EMINENT DOMAIN FUNDS
' ON DEPOSIT WITH THE COURTS IN EXCESS OF TEN
YEARS
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has deposited funds in prior years with the
courts in connection with eminent domain cases; and
WHEREAS, probable compensation may exist for actions involving the City
and /or the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Law Office of Fenton & Fenton has submitted a proposal to
provide certain services in pursuing the recovery of these funds; and
WHEREAS, the fees charged for such services will be based on the recovery
of funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That the Lynwood City Council authorizes and approves the
service agreement with Fenton & Fenton to represent the City in the recovery of
funds on deposit with the courts.
Section 2 . That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute
the agreement.
Section 3 . This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
