AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING BUILDING CODE FORE—STRUCTURES AND
PREMISES OTHER THAN ONE AND TWO FAMILY DWELLINGS, OTHER
STRUCTURES GOVERNED BY THE C.A.B.O. ESTABLISHED BY ORDINANCE NO.
1987-145 .
BE fT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
SECTION I . Purpose. The purpose of this• Ordinance is to
adopt- the application of the Iowa State Building Code ( Iowa Code
Chapter 103A) in Tiffin, Iowa, for all' s`tructures and premises
other than one and two family, dwellings , other' structures which
are governed by the C.A.B.O. pursuant to Ordinance No. 1987-145.,
SECTION II . The Iowa State Building Code ( Iowa Code
Chapter 103A). is hereby adopted for application in the City of
Tiffin for all structures and premises other than those one and .
two family dwellings which are governed by the C.A.B.O. pursuant
to Ordinance No. 1987-145 in the City of Tiffin, Iowa.
Section III . Repealer. All ordinances or parts of �.
ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are
hereby repealed. �r
Section IV. Severability. If any section, provision, or
part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or uncon-
stitutional , such adjudication shall not affect the validity of
the ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, Or part
thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional ,
Section V. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in
effect after its final passage, approval, and posting as provided
by law.

.meeting of+ the Tiffin City Council , Tiffin, Iowa,, Councilperson
Brown introduced Ordinance No. 1993-179, and moved
that it be given its first reading. The motion was seconded by
Councilperson Stratton
Ayes: Morgan, Stratton, Bartels and Brown TM
Nayes : None

Four members of the council being present and having voted
"Aye" Mayor Glenn R.Potter declared Motion carried, arid 'Ordinance
No. 1993 4as read the first time and discussed and placed on
record.
Thereupon, it was moved by Councilperson Morgan
and seconded by Councilperson Brown
that the laws and rules providing that ordinances, be considered

meeting at which it is to be finally passed be suspended and
dispensed with and that Ordinance No.I993-Moe' placed on its last

Nays :J None
Four members of the council being present and. having voted
"Aye" , Mayor Glenn R. Potter thereupon declared the motion to be
carried, and Ordinance No. 1993-179was then placed upon its last
reading and was read the last time. .,
Thereupon, it was mmoved by Councilperson Morgan
and seconded by Councilperson Brown t
that Ordinance No. 9 be placed upon its final :passage and
adopted.
Ayes : Brown, Bartels, Stratton, and Morgan
Nays : None .
Four members of the Council being present and having voted
"Aye" , Mayor Glenn R. Potter declared the motion carried, and
the Ordinance passed and adopted.
Whereupon the Mayor declared that Ordinance No.1993-179 be
adopted and signified his approval of the same by fixing his
signature thereto.

day of September , 1993 and signed by the Mayor on the
8th day of September , 1993 and. published on the 29th
day of September , 1993 by posting copies thereof in three
public places within the limits of the City of 'Tiffin Iowa. •
