Leesburg’s 2014 Water Quality Report Now Available Online
Leesburg, VA (April 1, 2015) – The Leesburg Utilities Department recently released the Town’s
Water Quality Report for 2014. The full report can be viewed on the Town website at
www.leesburgva.gov/waterqualityreport.
Since 1999, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has required water providers to
publish annual water quality reports. The report provides customers with information about
the source, treatment and testing of their drinking water, as well as an overvi ew of drinking
water regulations.
In 2014, Leesburg water met or exceeded all of the EPA’s water quality standards.
“Leesburg water customers can rest assured that their water is safe and chemically pure,” said
Kaj Dentler, Leesburg’s Town Manager. “Our Utilities Department works very hard to produce
drinking water of the highest quality. Making the annual water quality report, along with past
reports, available on the Town website is one more way that the Town is working to increase
governmental transparency.”
