HomeMy Public PortalAbout08-14-2014THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, AUGUST 14, 2014 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, August 14, 2014, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Present were: Vicki Robinson, Tony Foster and Dick Foore. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Police Lt. Donnie Benedict; Community Development Specialist Sharon Palmer; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR AUGUST 7, 2014 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR AUGUST 8, 2014 Mr. Foster moved to approve claims in the amount of Four Hundred Sixty Six Six Hundred Fifty Five Dollars and eighty eight cents ($466,655.88), supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REQUESTS STREET CLOSURES: • SECRET INGREDIENT BUTTERFLY RELEASE 700 block of East Main Street September 12, 2014 — 4 -6 pm Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • STARR GENNETT MUSIC FESTIVAL East Main Street — 7th -10th Street September 13, 2014 - 8 am -8 pm All intersections will remain open during the event. Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • THE FIREHOUSE SUMMER REVIVAL August 17, 2014 — 12 -11 pm From the Intersection of North 8th & D Street to Elm Place Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. BID OPENINGS - None BID AWARDS -None CONTRACTS - None CHANGE ORDERS • CONTRACT NO. 61 -2014 — CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 Neighborhood Stabilization Project Phase #3 324 South 11th Street Total decrease in the total contract amount in the amount of $14.23 Mr. Foore moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foster.
