HomeMy Public PortalAbout96-141 (09-03-96)RESOLUTION NO 96 -141 A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE TRANSITION PLAN FOR LEDA AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND THE LYNWOOD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the Transition Plan for the Lynwood Entrepreneur Development Academy; and WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed various options in order to facilitate the orderly transition of LEDA; and WHEREAS, staff pursued a month -to -month tenancy pursuant to Agency direction. NOW, THEREFORE, the Lynwood City Council does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1. On August 20, 1996, the City Council approved the Transition Plan. Section 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to prepare an agreement between the Lynwood City Council and the Lynwood Chamber of Commerce in order to provide contract services for business relocation and technical assistance not to exceed Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.) Section 3. The City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute said agreement on behalf of the City Council. Section 4. That this resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
