MTB – Minutes of City Council Meeting on December 14, 2021 at 7pm
RIVERDALE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
PLACE: Riverdale City Hall, 110 Manor Drive, Riverdale, Iowa
DATE: December 28, 2021 TIME: 7:00 P.M.
NOTE: This Regular Meeting of the Riverdale City Council was held in the Community Room of
Riverdale’s City Hall at the appointed time and in accordance with open meeting laws set and defined
by the State of Iowa (Sections 21.2 and 21.8).
1. WELCOME
1.1 CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by Mayor Mike Bawden.
1.2 ROLL CALL
Council Members present: Anthony Heddlesten, Paul DCamp, Kelly Krell and Doug Littrel.
Not present: Kevin Adams (who was expected to join the meeting shortly). Also present:
City Administrator Kent Royster and incoming City Council Member Vince Jurgena.
1.3 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
2. REVIEW/APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
There no requested modifications to the agenda, so the agenda stood as originally presented.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS
No public comment was offered by citizens present.
4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
4.1. RESOLUTIONS
2.1.1 2021-59 A Resolution to formalizing the Goals and Objectives of the City Administrator
for Calendar Year 2022
There was no written resolution in the packet. The Mayor said he would revise the draft
resolution to accurately reflect the Council’s discussion on this topic and attach the
amended and agreed-upon goals and objectives for the City Administrator for the
Calendar Year of 2022.
Council Member Krell provided information on work performed on the document since
the last meeting of the City Council on December 14. Some of the language in the
document should be revised to reflect the departure of the Deputy City Clerk earlier this
month.
All of the due dates in the draft document were reviewed with Royster by members of the
Council and adjustments were made with his input. A Motion to approve made by Krell,
seconded by Littrel. All ayes. Motion carried.
5. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT/COMMUNICATIONS TO THE COUNCIL
Audience questions and comments for issues not on the agenda. The public is invited to comment
on items of individual or general concern.

6. ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn was made by Heddleston and seconded by DCamp. All ayes. The Regular
Meeting of the City Council was formally adjourned by the Mayor at 8:42 pm.
