A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) PICK UP
TRUCKS THROUGH AN INFORMAL BID PROCEDURE.
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the purchase of two (2) pick up trucks
for use by the Volunteers on Patrol Program; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the pick up trucks will be paid from the Federal
Law Enforcement Block Grants Program and the City's Drug Seizure funds; and
WHEREAS, The cost to purchase the two (2) pick up trucks is approximately
$25,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the pick up trucks can be made more economically
expeditiously if done by an informal bid procedure; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6 -3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code, the City
Council can authorize purchases through informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 That the City Council authorizes staff to purchase the two (2) pick
up trucks for use by the Volunteers on Patrol program through an informal bid
procedure.
Section 2 That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
