A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
VALVERDE CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN THE AMOUNT
OF $82,310.00, FOR THE BULLIS ROAD WATER
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT 5 -5180, FISCAL
YEAR 1995 -96, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Water Main Replacement Project, Project
5 -5180 includes the Bullis Road Water Improvement, which is
scheduled for completion during FY 1996 -97, and is funded by
Water Improvement Bond funds; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on October 7, 1996,
and Valverde Construction, Inc., was the apparent lowest bidder
at $82,310; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this
company has the necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That the contract for the Bullis Road Water
Improvement Project, Project No. 5 -5180, be awarded to Valverde
Construction, Inc. for its low bid of $82,310.00.
Section 2 . That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute the agreement between the City of Lynwood and Valverde
Construction, Inc.
' Section 3 . This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of
November , 1996.
