A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS
APPROPRIATIONS AND TRANSFERS TO FINANCE THE
LYNWOOD URBAN GREENING ENHANCEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, On October 3, 1995, the City Council adopted Resolution
No. 95 -156 authorizing staff to apply for the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation
Program Grants, and
WHEREAS, staff submitted the Lynwood Urban Greening Enhancement Project
grant application, and
WHEREAS, the project consists of the planting of approximately 538 trees along
streets near the Glenn Anderson, I -105, Freeway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood was notified that the California Transportation
Commission approved the City's Urban Greening Enhancement Program to be funded during
Fiscal Year 1996 -97 in the amount of $120,952; and
WHEREAS, this project is not included in the City's FY 1996 -97 Capital
Improvement Project Schedule; and
WHEREAS, the City's FY 1996 -97 Budget does not provide funds for this
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
I Section 1. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriations and transfers:

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
