A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD DECLARING CERTAIN
EQUIPMENT TO BE SURPLUS AND DIRECTING
THE DISPOSAL THEREOF.
' WHEREAS, the Code Enforcement Division has confiscated equipment and
materials being sold illegally in the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the Code Enforcement Division issues property receipts to allow the
owners of confiscated materials to retrieve their items in a timely fashion; and
WHEREAS, after thirty (30) days, if the confiscated items are not claimed they
are deemed to be abandoned and surplus; and
WHEREAS, the items listed in Attachment "A" are items that have not been
claimed within thirty (30) days; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to dispose of such confiscated
equipment, materials and supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Municipal Code Sections 6 -3.7 and 6 -3.8 authorizes
the disposal /sale of supplies and equipment which are unsuitable for City use.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
' Section 1. That the equipment as listed in Attachment "A" are found and
determined to be surplus.
Section 2. That the City Manager and the Director of Public Works are directed
to cause the disposal of said surplus equipment.
Section 3. That the proceeds received from said disposal, if any, be placed in the
O1- 4478 -4230 account to cover the cost of disposal.
Section 4. That this resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED THIS 19th day of
November 1996. -
