A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE EMERGENCY
REPAIRS TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT APPARATUS
BAY DOORS AT FIRE STATION NO. 1 AND FIRE
STATION NO. 2.

WHEREAS, the Fire Station No. l and No.2 apparatus bay doors are
malfunctioning and are not reliable for safe use; and
WHEREAS, after the inspection it was determined that the bay doors are obsolete
and in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, the replacement of the bay doors can be done more expeditiously and
economically if done using an informal bid procedure; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6 -3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code, Council can
authorize purchases through informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY
FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLI.OWC
Section 1 That staff is authorize to purchase the needed material, supplies and
services to replace the overhead apparatus bay doors at Fire Station No. 1 and Fire
Station No. 2 through an informal bid procedure.
Section 2 . This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
