A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING THE HAM PARK
IRRIGATION RETROFIT FOR RECLAIMED WATER
PROJECT AS BEING COMPLETE.
WHEREAS, on August 20, 1996, the City Council adopted Resolution
No. 96 -133 authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement with the Central Basin
Municipal Water District ( CBMWD) to retrofit Ham Park's irrigation system; and
and WHEREAS, the City will save over $70,000.00 over a twenty year period;
WHEREAS, CBMWD will finance all construction costs; and
WHEREAS, the City will pay back CBMWD over a period of six (6) years
through a savings realized in cost difference between MWD water and reclaimed
water; and
WHEREAS, Valverde Construction was awarded the contract for
retrofitting Ham Park's irrigation system; and
WHEREAS, the project construction began on September 3, 1996 and
was completed on September 13, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the total project construction cost is $22,000.00; and
' WHEREAS, staff conducted the final construction inspection on
September 13, 1996 and found that all work has been completed in accordance with
the project plans and specifications; and
WHEREAS, after completing the construction, the Water Division and a
representative from Central Basin Municipal Water District have now completed
conducting safety training for staff on the safe handling of reclaimed water and its
identification.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1 That the City Council accepts the Ham Park Irrigation Retrofit
for Reclaimed Water Project, as being complete in accordance with contract
documents.
