Friends of Leesburg Public Arts Announces Small Art Works Sale
$50 Friends, 5x7 Art Works! to raise funds for Leesburg public art initiatives.
Leesburg, VA (April 10, 2015) – Friends of Leesburg Public Arts (FOLPA)
announces its first annual $50 Friends, 5x7 Art Works! art sale and
fundraiser. $50 Friends 5x7 Artworks! The sale will open to the public on
May 16, 2015, at 312 East Market St. Suite C Leesburg, VA 20176. Every
art work shown will be available for purchase for $50 and all proceeds
from the event will support Leesburg public art initiatives.
FOLPA continues to solicit artist entries for the event. The art works can
be of any media and subject, but should be unframed and signed only on
the back of each piece. The works will be displayed anonymously during
the show. Two-dimensional works should be no larger than 5” x 7” and
three-dimensional works should be no larger than 5” x 5” x 7”. Entry deadline has been
extended to May 1, 2015.
The $50 Friends 5x7 Art Works! invites the community to meet participating local artists. The
event will be a wonderful opportunity for artists to show their art to an enthusiastic audience of
art lovers and collectors and help Leesburg become a premier arts destination. All amateur,
emerging and established artists are invited to contribute art works. Details and a submission
form are available on the FOLPA website www.leesburgpublicarts.org.
$50 Friends, 5x7 Art Works! will open with a FOLPA Patrons reception on Thursday, May, 14,
2015 (tickets are still available at www.leesburgpublicarts.org), followed by an artists’ reception
on Friday, May 15. The show will open to the public, and works will be sold on a first come first
buy basis, on Saturday, May 16, 2015, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Your favorite may sell quickly.

all-volunteer organization dedicated to public art initiatives in Leesburg. FOLPA sponsors the
annual Leesburg Fine Arts Festival each fall in downtown Leesburg and supports the Leesburg
