A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
RUIZ ENGINEERING, IN THE AMOUNT OF
538~780.82, FOR THE FRANKLIN STREET AND
~ NORTON AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS,
PROJECTS 5-5192 AND 5-5196, FISCAL YEAR
1996-97, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Franklin Street and Norton Avenue
Improvement Projects, Projects 5-5192 and 5-5196 are scheduled
for completion during FY 1996-97, and are funded by Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) funds; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on December 23, 1996,
and Ruiz Engineering, was the lowest responsible bidder at
$38,780.82; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this
contractor has the necessary experience for this type of
project.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby £ind, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the Franklin Street
and Norton Avenue Improvement Projects, Projects 5-5192 and
5-5196, be awarded to Ruiz Engineering for its low bid of
$38,780.82.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute the agreement between the City of Lynwood and Ruiz
Engineering.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
