A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COLTNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA GRADING, INC., IN THE AMOiJNT OF $119,800.00,
FOR THE MERVYN DYMALLY CONGRESSIONAL PARK
GRADING/FLOOD CONTROL AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM
~ IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 5-5173, FISCAL
YEAR 1996-97, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park Grading/Flood Control and
Drainage System Improvement Project, Project Number 5-5173 is scheduled for completion
during FY 1996-97; and
WHEREAS, the Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park Grading/Flood Control and
Drainage System Improvement Project is fixnded by the Los Angeles County Regional Park and
Open Space District funds; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on February 11, 1997, and Southern
California Grading, Inc., was the lowest responsible bidder at $119,800.00; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the necessary
experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
, Section i. That the contract for the Mervyn Dymally Congressional Park
Grading/Flood Control and Drainage System Improvement Project, Project Number 5-5173, be
awarded to Southern California Grading, Inc. for its low bid of $l 19,800.00.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement between
the City of Lynwood and Southern California Grading, Inc.
Section 3. Tbis resolution shall take efFect immediately upon its adoption.
