A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURCHASE
NEEDED MATERIALS, SUPPLIES, AND SERVICES
THROUGH AN INFORMAL BID PROCESS FOR THE
WRIGHT ROAD WATER LINE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.

WfIEREAS, the Wright Road Water Line Improvement Project, Project Number
5-5180 is scheduled for construction during FY 1996-97; and
WHEREAS, the project encompasses the installation of a new 12" water main and
cross connections to e~cisting water lines, etc.; and
WHEREAS, portions of the project will be done by local youth working with the
City's Youth Training Program; and
WI~REAS, portions ofthe Wright Road Water Line Improvement Project can be
built more economically and expeditiously using an informal bid process to purchase needed
materiais, supplies and services; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code, Council can
authorize purchases through informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That staffis authorized to purchase the needed materials, supplies and
services to complete the Wright Road Water Line Improvement Project through an informal bid
procedure.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
