A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURCHASE NEEDED
MATERIALS, SUPPLIES~ AND SERVICES THROUGH AN INFORMAL
BID PROCESS FOR THE SECURITY LIGHTING PROJECT, PROJECT
NO. 5-5159, FY 1996-97.

WHEREAS, the Security Lighting Project, Project No. 5-5159
is listed in the Capital Improvement Project schedule for
FY 1996-97; and
WHEREAS, the project encompasses the purchase and
installation of special security lighting for Lynwood residents;
and
WHEREAS, the Security Lighting Project can be completed
more economically and expeditiously using an informal bid process
to purchase the needed materials, supplies and services; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize purchases through informal bids by a
4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby finds, proclaims, orders and resolves as follows:
Section 1. That staff is authorized to purchase the
needed materials, supplies and services to complete the Security
Lighting Project through an informal bid procedure.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of
March , 1997.
