A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE
THE NECESSARY FUNDS APPROPRIATIONS AND
TRANSFERS FOR THE LYNWOOD YOUTH CENTER
PROJECT, PROJECT 5-5174.

WHEREAS, the City Council approved the construction of
the Lynwood Youth Center Project in FY 1995-96; and
WHEREAS, the project was funded with $640,200 of
Proposition A Funds Grant from the Los Angeles County Regional
Park and Open Space District; and
WHEREAS, this Grant covers for the design and building
construction cost; and
WHEREAS, staff has estimated that a total of $796,000
is needed to complete the building and other on-site
improvements; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified $157,000 of Per-Parcel
Discretionary Grant, issued by the Los Angeles County Regional
Park and Open Space District, that the City can use to complete
this project; and
WHEREAS, the Per-Parcel Discretionary Grant requires
City Council's project approval and authorization to claim the
Grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to complete this
project in a timely manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That staff is authorized to submit a claim
for the Per-Parcel Discretionary Grant.
Section 2. That said Grant shall be appropriated to the
Lynwood Youth Center Project, Project 5-5174.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following funds appropriation and
transfers .

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
