A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYN~VOOD APPROVING THE PURCHASE
OF SAFETY F,QUIPMENT FOR FIRF. FIGHTERS AND
AUTHORIZING PURCHASES THROUGH INFORMAL
BIDDING.

WHEREAS, current Fire Fighter Breathing Apparatus is ot 1960's
Technology; and
WHEREAS, there is no means to fill new High Pressure BreathinR
Apparatus Safely at the Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, current Personal Alarm Safety Syatem Devices are currently
12 years old and sre obwlete; and
WHEREAS, undcr Section 6-3.13 ot the L~na~ood Municipal Code.
Council can authoriu purchase thruuKh informal Bids by a 1/5 ~ote.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCiL OF LYNWOOD DOES
HERE BY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That staft is authori~xd to pureha.9e the needed BreathinR
Apparatus and related Safety Equipment for Firefightcrs ihruugh an informal Bid prucedure.
Section 2. That the Citv ManaRer or his designee is authori~ed to tra~sfer
funds from Fire Department salan accounts to appropriate satety and equipment accounts to co~cr
expenditarcs.
Section 3. Thrv Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adop[ion.
