A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE FERNWOOD AVENUE
RECONSTRUCTION AND WATER MAIN LINE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE AND TO MAKE THE
NECESSARY FUND APPROPRIATIONS TRANSFERS.
~ WHEREAS, Fernwood Avenue between Alameda Avenue and
Imperial Highway has deteriorated and is in need of repairs; and
WHEREAS, the Fernwood Avenue Reconstruction Project and
Water Main Line Improvers Project are not listed in the Capital
Improvement Project schedule for FY 1996-97; and
WHEREAS, the project encompasses the acquisition of an
eleven (11) foot right of way on the south side of Fernwood
Avenue, the reconstruction of asphalt concrete pavement, the
reconstruction of damaged curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveway
approaches, wheelchair ramps, and the replacement of the water
main line on Fernwood Avenue between Alameda Avenue and Imperial
Highway; and
WHEREAS, in order to proceed, funds need to be
appropriated for the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~ESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood as follows:
Section 1. That the Fernwood Avenue Reconstruction and
Water Main Line Improvement Projects are approved.
Section 2. That the Fernwood Avenue Water Main Line
~ Improvement Project be funded by substituting one of the existing
water main line improvement projects.
Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following fund appropriations and
transfers:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
