A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, A PUBLIC BODY APPROVING A
HOME CON'I'RACT AND ADMINISTRATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
PURSUANT TO TITLE 24 CFR, PART 92, TO CARRY OUT CERTAIN HOUSING
RELATED ACTIVITIES PURSUANT TO HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS AND TO COMMIT THE CITY OF LYNWOOD 1995, AND 1996
, HOME INVES'I'MENT PARTNERSHIP ALLOCATION.
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood has received HOME Funds, a federal formula grant
allocation, from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to carry out ceRain eligible
affordable housing activities in accordance with federal program requirements at 24 CFR 92; and
WI~EREAS, The City of Lynwood has received $360,750 for the 1995 HOME Fund Projec[
Allocation, $426,000 for the 1996 HOME Fund Project Allocazion, and anticipates receiving $416,250
for the 1997 HOME Fund Project Allocation ; and
WHEREAS, the CiTy of Lynwood is required to commit the 1995 HOME Fund allocation to a
project or contract with a subrecipient by July 3Q 1997 , in accordance with HUD guidelines ; and
WHEREAS, The Ciry proposes to enter into a HOME Contract and Administration Agreement
with the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency , a qualified subrecipient, to assist the City in carrying out the
HOME requirements of providing affordable housing opportunities to low and verv low income
residents;and
WHEREAS, The Ciry proposes to commit the 1995, and 1996, HOME Investment monies to the
Lynwood Redevelopment Agency pursuant to the agreement and within the HUD HOME guideline ; and
, NOW, THEREFORE the Ciry Council of the Ciry of Lynwood does hereby resolve as follows :
Section 1. That the City Council approves the HOME Contract and Administration Agreement with the
Lynwood Redevelopment Agency and the City to commit $360,750 of the 1995 Home Investrnent
Partnership Allocation, and $426,000 of the 1996 HOME Investment Partnership Allocation to be used in
accordance with regulations established by the Department of Urban Development pursuant to Title 24
CFR part 92.
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
