PLACE: Riverdale City Hall, 110 Manor Drive, Riverdale, Iowa
DATE: January 10, 2023 TIME: 5:30 p.m.
NOTE: A budget workshop was held in -person at the appointed time and day in accordance with open meeting
laws set and defined by the State of Iowa (Sections 21.2 and 21.8).
1. WELCOME
1.1 CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Heddlesten.
1.2 ROLL CALL - Council Members present: DCamp, Halsey, Jurgena, Littrel. Absent: Adams. Also
present: City Administrator Consultant Hinson, Clerk Krell, Deputy Clerk Tripp, Operations Manager
Ballard, Fire Chief Bernard, and other residents and visitors.
Adams joined the meeting at 5:35 p.m..
1.3 AGENDA APPROVAL - Motion by Jurgena, seconded by Halsey, to approve the agenda. All ayes.

2. PRESENTATION OF PRELIMINARY BUDGET DATA
Hinson presented preliminary budget data. He provided a proposed FY24 budget overview and reviewed
revenues, expenditures, historic tax rates, fund balances and budgets, and capital projects. Council, staff,
and guests discussed and provided input.
3. ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn by Adams, seconded by Jurgena. All ayes. MC. The budget workshop was formally
adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
