A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION OF VENDORS
THROUGH THE INFORMAL BID PROCESS FOR THE
1997 UNITY FESTIVAL/JULY 4TH FIREWORKS DISPLAY
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is desirous of offering a program combining
t the Unity Festival and the July 4th Firewors Celebration; and
WHEREAS, in recent years only one (1) vendor responded to the formal bid
offering for the provision of the fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, in 1996 the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorized the
informal bid process far the fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of these services would be more economically and
efficiently effected through the use of the informal bid process; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by a majority vote can approve funding through an
alternative bid process;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
ti 1. The City Council waives the formal bid procedure for the provision of
the the 1997 Fireworks Display for the Unity Festival/July 4th Program.
