A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE REPAIR
AND REPLACEMENT OF LARGE METERS CITY WIDE
WHEREAS, there are twenty (20) large meters that are
~'^, either in need of repair or replacement city wide; and
Il ~ WHEREAS, the savings of $33,300.00 realized through the
purchase of pumping lease water rights for water year 1992-1993
from the County Water Company, Inc. can be used to finance the
Large Water Meter Repair and Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, The Large Water Meter Replacement Project can
be more economically effected through an informal bid; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13c of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, City Council can authorize purchases through informal bid
by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council authorize the
Director of Public Works to utilize the $33,300.00 realized
through the purchase of pumping lease water rights from County
Water Company, Inc. to seek ir_for:nal bids and finance the Large
Water Meter Repair and Replacement Project.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th day of
