A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY WATER
COMPANY, INC. FOR 450 ACRE-FEET OF PUMPING
LEASE RIGHTS FOR WATER YEAR 1992-1993
{p1^ WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is dependent upon the
ttt Metropolitan Water District for more expensive imported water;
and
WHEREAS, the purchase of 450 acre-feet of pumping lease
rights form the County Water Company, Inc. for $120/acre foot
would reduce the MWD dependence by 450 acre feet; and
WHEREAS, the City will realize a savings of $33,300.00
through the purchase of the pumping lease rights for water year
1992-1993.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorize the Director of
Public Works to lease 450 acre feet of pumping lease rights for
water year 1992-1993 at $120.00/acre foot.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th day of
October 1992.
